Description
Get rid of boring mint sauce recipes that simply involve mint, sugar, and water. Rather, bring mint chimichurri sauce on the table to enjoy almost all the foods and salad dressings you love.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 cup fresh parsley leaves
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
- ½ tsp kosher salt
Instructions
Step 1 – Chop the Herbs:
- Place two garlic cloves in a food processor and pulse multiple times until finely chopped.
- Next, add parsley and mint leaves to the processor and pulse.
- Once finely chopped, pour them into a bowl. Alternatively, you can also chop the herbs finely by hand.
Step 2 – Add Spices and Vinegar:
- Add red wine vinegar to the mint parsley mixture.
- Also, add red pepper flakes and kosher salt to taste.
- Mix the ingredients well so that the salt completely dissolves.
Step 3 – Stir in the Olive Oil:
- Add olive oil to the mixture and stir to uniformly distribute all the ingredients.
Notes
It is better to consume the sauce within one to two days. Its fresh leaves content gives a strong flavor that may wilt over a prolonged time. However, if you keep it in the refrigerator, it can last longer without losing much flavor.
